Individual Retirement Accounts
Helping you achieve financial well-being

It's never too early or too late to begin saving for retirement. Secure your financial future with a Tyndall Federal IRA Contributory or IRA Certificate Account. We have a retirement plan for any budget, with a number of account options and very competitive rates. We also offer Education IRAs to help you save toward qualified higher education expenses for a minor child.

IRA Certificate Accounts (Arrangements) are opened for a specified term and earn a specified rate during that term.  Once the account/arrangement is opened, additional deposits to the certificate may only be made after it matures (at the end of the specified term).

An IRA Contributory Account (Arrangement), which may be opened with a smaller initial deposit than the Certificate, does not have a specific ''maturity'' date.  Although the Annual Percentage Yield (APY) for the IRA Contributory is generally not as high as that of the IRA Certificate, deposits may be made to it at any time (up to the maximum allowed per year per IRS regulations).  This makes it easier for those on a fixed budget to begin saving toward retirement or higher education.

As always, please consult your tax advisor for help in determining which type of IRA will best suit your individual needs.

1For all certificate accounts, a penalty may be imposed for early withdrawal. For all certificate accounts, the Annual Percentage Yield is based on an assumption that dividends will remain in the account until maturity. A withdrawal will reduce earnings.
