How does Tyndall help?

• In accordance with the USA Patriot Act of 2001, Tyndall Federal Credit Union has in place specific guidelines for verifying the identity of everyone who becomes a member of Tyndall. Among other things, this process dictates the types of valid identification and the type of personal information required.  Be aware that we will ask for proper identification before opening an account, making changes to an account, or performing transactions. Please keep in mind that this procedure is in place to protect Tyndall members and their personal and financial information.



• We offer free Online Banking to our members through a secure site. By using Internet Banking, you can closely monitor your Tyndall accounts and loans (24 hours a day, 7 days a week) to be sure there is no unauthorized activity taking place.



• We offer free, secure Bill Pay services through Online Banking. You can pay your bills online or even transfer funds to other people from your Tyndall Federal accounts. You don't have to be concerned about mailing checks or giving your account information to other companies. Bill Pay services are available at your convenience, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.



• When we send emails to our members for special promotions or to simply keep them informed about upcoming events, we use an anti-phishing field called the Tyndall Security Zone.  This field is located in the upper left corner of all valid Tyndall emails and shows the last three digits of each person's individual member number.
  
  Phishers send millions of emails at a time by purchasing email lists. They have no way of combining an individual's name with his Tyndall member number. If the email you receive includes a number you do not recognize in the Tyndall Security Zone, do not respond to it.
  



• Tyndall Federal offers Safe Deposit Boxes at many of our branches. These Safe Deposit Boxes are perfect for keeping your valuable documents and personal information secure.  



• Tyndall Federal Credit Union is very concerned with our members' online safety. Therefore, information submitted through any of our online applications is transmitted via a very secure level of encryption (SSL-Secure Socket Layer).  This information is stored on a secure server behind a firewall and may only be accessed by authorized personnel. There are also security measures in place to monitor all access. This transmission and retrieval process ensures that the personal information of our members is protected.



• When you use your Tyndall Federal Visa^® Credit Card you are protected against fraudulent activity by Visa's Zero Liability policy. To read more about this policy, click here.



• When you use your Tyndall Federal Credit Union Visa^® Credit Card to make purchases online with participating merchants, you can make those purchases even more secure by registering your credit card number in the free "Verified by Visa" program.
